Comprised of First Nations, Metis and Inuit members, the Alberta Indigenous Council promotes and defends the rights of all Indigenous workers in our Union, communities, locally, nationally, and internationally.
The Council advises the CUPE Alberta Division Executive Committee on issues impacting Indigenous workers and actively seeks methods for greater and active participation of Indigenous workers in our movement and the Council through coalition building, community networking, and increasing Indigenous awareness of CUPE members, staff and leadership.
